MP for Rangitīkei

Suze Redmayne, representing the National Party, serves as the MP for Rangitīkei.
Suze and her husband Richard farm at 'Tunnel Hill', a 5th generation sheep, beef, forestry and maize property in Turakina. They have three adult children - Sam, Ruby and Sophie.

Their farm is a mix of diverse soil types from sand dunes to river silt and their operation is set up to maximise this. They are true guardians of the land with 250ha of renewable, sustainable forest and over 30ha wetlands which have been protected and developed over the years. 'Tunnel Hill' was the Supreme winner of the Ballance Farm Environment Awards for the Horizons' region in 2023.

Together Suze and Richard also own and operate the award-winning lamb brand Coastal Lamb, which they established 13 years ago. Coastal Lamb works in partnership with 16 other family farms located around the coast of the North Island. The business supplies supermarkets and restaurants as well as several export markets. In 2016 Coastal Lamb was the winner of the Supreme award at the New Zealand Food Awards, and in 2022 they won the Silver Fern Farms Market Leader Award at the Beef + Lamb New Zealand Awards.

In addition to helping run the business, Suze has supported Rangitīkei MP Ian McKelvie and his predecessor Hon Simon Power for several years in a part-time capacity. Her experience working in the electorate office has given her an excellent insight into the nature of the communities that make up the diverse Rangitīkei electorate. She is currently a trustee of Sport Whanganui and served eight years as trustee of the Whanganui Community Foundation until 2021. Suze has a Bachelor of Arts from Otago University.
